Adding a Blog feed to Yahoo Site Explorer

It's much the same as Google's webmaster tools and sitemap section. Only thing is, Google allows you to authenticate a site or blog using meta tags. Yahoo has no such thing, and you need to upload a file using FTP to your site root directory. How do you do that if you're using a free blog host like Blogspot?

I submitted my blog and blog feed, but unless I authenticate it, I have no idea of knowing if it's having any effect. Seems kinda dumb of Yahoo, but maybe someone has any idea of how to authenticate a Blogger blog on yahoo's site explorer?
