Hi,

Blogsot has two options for feeds - full feeds ( full content of the post ) or short feeds ( title and short description ). Now, blogspot says that Adsense for feeds is in beta testing, and I'm not allowed to sign up. So there's not much point selecting the full feed, and I selected the short feed. Now, technorati does not accept pings from short atom feeds. They want full feeds.

What do I do?

I think if you are trying to promote a site/blog with feeds you need to use short (summary feeds). Just enough to entice someone to click over.

However, if you are using a blog to promote a website and you have links to that website in your blog then you want to use the full feed so those links are distributed.

Do you really think you will have enough volume of readers to make ads in the feeds profitable?

Uh...Yes, I think I can make the feeds profitable. But I don't see the point of doing it on a blog, without adsense in the feeds. I do want to know if there's any way I can get Technorati to accept pings from the short feeds.

Just letting you know that I changed to full feeds for now. Techorati is accepting pings and we'll see how it goes from here. Maybe I should create another feed with short titles and descriptions. Anyone know how I can do that on blogspot?
